I Just Really Don't Like Her!!!

I try my best to share love and laughter with all of God's people. But in all reality I can't get along with everyone. So the question is: How do we handle people we just really don't like?!

I will not lie, I get annoyed by obnoxious behavior pretty quickly. But it's how I handle it that makes all the difference.

James 1:20
For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

I just talk  to God , and ask Him to let me see His people how He see's them!
God loves all of us so much, even at our lowest points  He loves us.

So I'm making it a point to do my best to love ALL of God's children. I challenge you guys also to do your best if you have this problem. Lord knows I struggle with it a lot especially at work.

More About Me

I just wanted to tell you guys more about me. Feel free anytime to ask me ANY questions on any of my social media. I am also open to any topics you would like me to talk about. Nothings off limits!

So I was born in Rockville Maryland, my favorite color is purple. All shades! I love animals and love kids. I am planning on going to back to school for Ministry and Education. I moved down to Florida when I was turning 12 and I have been here ever since. I am about to be 21 in May.
I love singing, like love love singing. I also love music! I listen to Pat Benatar, Adele, Norah Jones, etc.

I was raised Catholic and I went to all types of churches growing up. Now I more identify as a Christian/Catholic. I have always known God and he was always apart of my life but I did not have the relationship with Him that I have with Him now. So around October 2015 I dedicated my life to God. So if there is anything else that you want to know about me please feel free to ask!

Shine Bright

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
God calls us to be a light in the world, We represent his kingdom when we call him our Father. We cannot hide our light, the light that He has put in our hearts. We have a responsibility to be a disciple of the Lord, to stand visibly and let others see the light of God in us so that they can know the wonders of our God.

When you are at work take the extra effort to talk to your co-workers about life and whatever is going on with them. People like to talk about themselves, through your inquiry you might find something that they need prayer for. This is the PERFECT time to tell them that you will pray with them and that is an automatic way to speak about the work of God.

I had a hard time at first, speaking to people about God. I was scared that I would get rejected and I was also scared to be seen in a different light. Like people would try to avoid me now that they knew my beliefs.

So my advice to you is to pray to God about how you can be a light in this day and age.

Is My Hunger Gone??

When I was reunited with  God I had such a burning inside to chase after him. I went to every possible church event, watched sermons online, read the bible everyday with such hungry eyes. I couldn't stop talking about Him! Then slowly but surely it all became routine. I would read my bible with and urgency to finish the passage and get to the point, I'd miss days of bible study and zone out when I did go. I felt horrible, I asked myself if it was all just a Jesus-crazed phase. I went to a group prayer one Friday and I asked them to pray for me. I needed more than just my prayer to help me out of this rut. I was running around depressed, stressed about bills, and life and so many things that I forgot to stop and talk to got and to just connect with Him. I allowed Him to be an afterthought at the end of my day instead of the first thing I woke up with, I made a choice that wasn't how I wanted to live.

I prayed this prayer: Connect with me here, as I seek You in your word. Begin with focus and openness to see what You have in store for me.

Psalms 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps, He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Pray and wait silently to hear God speak to you. God responds to us we just have to call out.

That which Defiles

Mark 1 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)
5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me
.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules
.
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
The Pharisees had a tradition of washing their hands before meals, and whatever else they did. When Jesus went to eat with them he ignored this ritual, and was questioned by the Pharisees. Jesus called them hypocrites!!!
He said “these people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.”
God doesn’t want our actions alone He wants us to actively seek him, He wants us to open our hearts to Him. I know in my life going to church and going to bible study can become routine. But I have to make effort to hunt God and to seek Him out and to know Him.
We don’t want out actions to be empty. Our prayers aren’t enough. Singing a worship song is not enough. We need to stir ourselves in His presence. We need to seek Him!
Matthew 7:23.
We don’t want to be turned away from God. Allow him to know you and allow yourself to know him. Don’t let routine stop your hunger for Him.

The parable of the ten virgins

Matthew 25
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.  For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’  But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’  And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’  Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
When I first read this, I understood that it was meant to be a spiritual lesson told by Jesus. I read it a few times until a realized a few things that blew my mind!!
The ten virgins were heading to meet the bridegroom, who was finally coming back from preparing a home for his bride (like God has prepared a home for us in his kingdom). The five wise virgins took oil jars for their lamps as they went on their long journey. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the foolish five asked for oil they were rejected, I thought it was kind of harsh the first time I read this. But then I realized the message God was giving us: We can not give someone our faith, we can not refill the Holy Spirit in someone’s heart, we can not pass down or receive someone’s salvation. My grandma’s faith can’t be passed on to me. All we can do is share God and the love he has for us to them.
2 Timothy 3:5 -having a form of godliness but denying it’s power.. Have nothing to do with such people.

When the foolish five returned from buying oil the bridegroom turns the away. When God comes to bring us home will you be turned away? Knowing of God is not enough.God calls us to be more than just followers. Having a sense of godliness isn’t enough. We need to be disciples, we need to spread his word so that others will seek salvation from Him. God prepares the soil for us all we have to do is sow the seed! Take every opportunity  to spread His love. It is our job as Gods disciples.
