Just wanted to talk

Hello loves I told you I'd be spamming you with post so here I am.

So I wanted to talk to you guys today about timing. Specifically God's timing. If you are half as impatient as I am then you know how hard it can be to wait and see what God has in store for you.
But here is the good news!God has prefect timing. God is faithful to us even when we aren't very faithful to Him. I can personally attest to that. I have been caught up in so much that I have been slacking on reading the bible everyday, and taking time to just talk to God , but yet whenever something in my life doesn't go as planned God comes to my rescue and gives me more than I deserve. I can honestly tell you guys that I feel so unworthy of His love and mercy on my life. I want to be real with you guys and I mean it when I say that it is okay to feel unworthy sometimes, just as long as you use that feeling and make it a point to do your best to live your life for Him. God will always be there for us and that in NOT something that we should take advantage of.

Thanks for reading :)

Answer Your Calling

Hello my loves, I apologize a million times for not posting in awhile. Life gets busy and that is no excuse because God comes first! So I will be spamming this blog with post to make up for it :)))))

Galatians 5:13 NIV
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

So I am using this verse today in light of what is going on in the world today. I live 2 hours away from Orlando and I feel so much pain for the families that have to endure these tragic losses. It pains me to see that in 2016 that hate is so prevalent. We were not called by God to destroy each other. We have a duty as his children to serve one another! Whether someone is gay, straight, purple or pink our job is not to judge! It is to SERVE. Everyday when  you wake up you are blessed and it can be so easy to hope on social media and judge people and form an opinion on things. But social media can have a positive effect if you make a choice to use it to empower and uplift Gods children.

Everyday we have a choice to try and be better than the next. Please pray and ask God to give you a compassionate heart. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS DIFFERENT doesn't mean you cant love on them and show them who God Almighty
is.

The Power of Comparison

How do you end up feeling when you find yourself compared to others? If your anything like me all it leads to is discontentment and a sense of failure. Feeling like you don't measure up to others is never a good feeling. There has to be a better way to appreciate others success even though you haven't reached your own.

That better way is God. There is power in knowing who you are in the eyes of God. He has a plan for all of us and I know that I find comfort in that. I had to find out the hard way that my blessings might not show up when I want it, but I sure know they will show up! Its a beautiful to see my friends and family living their lives to the fullest and making dreams come true. But sometimes it can be hard when I look at my own life. I have to stop and remind myself that God has something bigger than I can even fathom waiting for me and I have to trust Him on the time.

1 Timothy 6:6-8

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Than God for all the perfect gifts that he gives to us! The short-cut to contentment is gratitude. Being thankful provide us with and instant perspective change. So take a moment and figure out what are the things you can be thankful for eveyday.

Trust Issues

Hey everyone it's your girl Muscie, I want to post everyday but life keeps getting in the way X).

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not,for I am with you;Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Both these verses mention the fact that the Lord will give us strength. He will renew us when we look to Him. Even when it feels like we are alone or can't hear the words of God, He is with us. Just wait on Him and His plans will be revealed. It can be so hard to trust people in this day and age but that's what makes trusting on God even better! God always has your back, He will always be there and you never have to doubt that. I want to learn to always turn to the Lord when I am afraid, sad, or stressed. I know that I will only grow stronger if I can pause and go to God and express my thanks and my faith  in Him.

No Cheat Codes Work!

"Each step to our destination is an important one. If we try to skip over necessary steps, it will only lead to necessary pain." -Unknown

I was doing my daily devotional on the bus heading to work and I read this. A light bulb clicked in my head and I was floored with how much I resonated with it. I began to think back to all the decisions I have made in my life. Have I been trying to take shortcuts, when God wanted me to work from the bottom up? I think back to when I tried nursing school, and Instead of going to a 4 year program , I decided to go to a 2 year vocational school to get done with it faster. And guess what that failed! The school ended up having lost their accreditation and they let us go on without telling us.  I was trying to get to the top by skipping steps. I never stopped to ask God where and what he wanted me to do! God will let us walk into a storm, and He will only answer when we look for Him. He answers to our call, not our circumstance. Now I am in a place in my life that I would never in a million years I would be in. I am turning 21 and I'm on my own, working a full-time job and trying to figure out how to go back to school! I want to be 10 steps ahead from where I am currently. Unfortunately there is no shortcuts or cheat codes to life when you are living for God. He takes us to the places we are in because He knows what is to come. I want to be prepared to serve my God when an opportunity arises and being on my own I have learned how to depend on God to take care of me. He never fails! God has a specific plan for you and there is no other way then His.

I hope this helped someone out there, because It changed the way I see things and I wanted to share that.

It's Really Hard Right Now

Hey everyone, I know I have been missing these last few days. I have been going through a lot. I just ask that you all can keep me in your prayers! I want to just take this time to say that whatever any of you are dealing with right now is not permanent. God is preparing us for something bigger than we can even imagine. We are so lucky to have a God who is LIMITLESS! Amen.

Things can seem so horrible when we look at it with our own eyes, but sometimes when you go to God you find that doors are being closed so others can open. God does not punish us, there is a reason for everything we go through. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I just want to encourage all of you to stay strong and stick with God in your hardships. I know this can be hard. I know I can get so caught up in the moment and forget that I have such a powerful ally in my corner.

God does not respond to the storm, He responds to us. We have to seek Him out and trust that whatever is coming next, we will prevail.

I hope that all of you win the battles that you are facing in your life!

Please feel open to asking me or anyone you trust to pray for you.

I have links to all my social media, and it would be my pleasure to pray for you!

Love and Light,

I Just Really Don't Like Her!!!

I try my best to share love and laughter with all of God's people. But in all reality I can't get along with everyone. So the question is: How do we handle people we just really don't like?!

I will not lie, I get annoyed by obnoxious behavior pretty quickly. But it's how I handle it that makes all the difference.

James 1:20
For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

I just talk  to God , and ask Him to let me see His people how He see's them!
God loves all of us so much, even at our lowest points  He loves us.

So I'm making it a point to do my best to love ALL of God's children. I challenge you guys also to do your best if you have this problem. Lord knows I struggle with it a lot especially at work.

More About Me

I just wanted to tell you guys more about me. Feel free anytime to ask me ANY questions on any of my social media. I am also open to any topics you would like me to talk about. Nothings off limits!

So I was born in Rockville Maryland, my favorite color is purple. All shades! I love animals and love kids. I am planning on going to back to school for Ministry and Education. I moved down to Florida when I was turning 12 and I have been here ever since. I am about to be 21 in May.
I love singing, like love love singing. I also love music! I listen to Pat Benatar, Adele, Norah Jones, etc.

I was raised Catholic and I went to all types of churches growing up. Now I more identify as a Christian/Catholic. I have always known God and he was always apart of my life but I did not have the relationship with Him that I have with Him now. So around October 2015 I dedicated my life to God. So if there is anything else that you want to know about me please feel free to ask!

Shine Bright

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
God calls us to be a light in the world, We represent his kingdom when we call him our Father. We cannot hide our light, the light that He has put in our hearts. We have a responsibility to be a disciple of the Lord, to stand visibly and let others see the light of God in us so that they can know the wonders of our God.

When you are at work take the extra effort to talk to your co-workers about life and whatever is going on with them. People like to talk about themselves, through your inquiry you might find something that they need prayer for. This is the PERFECT time to tell them that you will pray with them and that is an automatic way to speak about the work of God.

I had a hard time at first, speaking to people about God. I was scared that I would get rejected and I was also scared to be seen in a different light. Like people would try to avoid me now that they knew my beliefs.

So my advice to you is to pray to God about how you can be a light in this day and age.

Is My Hunger Gone??

When I was reunited with  God I had such a burning inside to chase after him. I went to every possible church event, watched sermons online, read the bible everyday with such hungry eyes. I couldn't stop talking about Him! Then slowly but surely it all became routine. I would read my bible with and urgency to finish the passage and get to the point, I'd miss days of bible study and zone out when I did go. I felt horrible, I asked myself if it was all just a Jesus-crazed phase. I went to a group prayer one Friday and I asked them to pray for me. I needed more than just my prayer to help me out of this rut. I was running around depressed, stressed about bills, and life and so many things that I forgot to stop and talk to got and to just connect with Him. I allowed Him to be an afterthought at the end of my day instead of the first thing I woke up with, I made a choice that wasn't how I wanted to live.

I prayed this prayer: Connect with me here, as I seek You in your word. Begin with focus and openness to see what You have in store for me.

Psalms 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of miry clay and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps, He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Pray and wait silently to hear God speak to you. God responds to us we just have to call out.

That which Defiles

Mark 1 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)
5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me
.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules
.
You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
The Pharisees had a tradition of washing their hands before meals, and whatever else they did. When Jesus went to eat with them he ignored this ritual, and was questioned by the Pharisees. Jesus called them hypocrites!!!
He said “these people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me.”
God doesn’t want our actions alone He wants us to actively seek him, He wants us to open our hearts to Him. I know in my life going to church and going to bible study can become routine. But I have to make effort to hunt God and to seek Him out and to know Him.
We don’t want out actions to be empty. Our prayers aren’t enough. Singing a worship song is not enough. We need to stir ourselves in His presence. We need to seek Him!
Matthew 7:23.
We don’t want to be turned away from God. Allow him to know you and allow yourself to know him. Don’t let routine stop your hunger for Him.

The parable of the ten virgins

Matthew 25
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.  For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’  But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’  And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’  Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
When I first read this, I understood that it was meant to be a spiritual lesson told by Jesus. I read it a few times until a realized a few things that blew my mind!!
The ten virgins were heading to meet the bridegroom, who was finally coming back from preparing a home for his bride (like God has prepared a home for us in his kingdom). The five wise virgins took oil jars for their lamps as they went on their long journey. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. When the foolish five asked for oil they were rejected, I thought it was kind of harsh the first time I read this. But then I realized the message God was giving us: We can not give someone our faith, we can not refill the Holy Spirit in someone’s heart, we can not pass down or receive someone’s salvation. My grandma’s faith can’t be passed on to me. All we can do is share God and the love he has for us to them.
2 Timothy 3:5 -having a form of godliness but denying it’s power.. Have nothing to do with such people.

When the foolish five returned from buying oil the bridegroom turns the away. When God comes to bring us home will you be turned away? Knowing of God is not enough.God calls us to be more than just followers. Having a sense of godliness isn’t enough. We need to be disciples, we need to spread his word so that others will seek salvation from Him. God prepares the soil for us all we have to do is sow the seed! Take every opportunity  to spread His love. It is our job as Gods disciples.
